Imagine Dragons sign major label record deal with Interscope Records and KIDinaKORNER
The title track of Imagine Dragons' recent EP It's Time describes the current state of the band perfectly as they officially announce they have signed a joint deal with Interscope Records and KIDinaKORNER.
The agreement finds Imagine Dragons, known for their pop-sensibility and stadium-worthy anthemic tunes, under the roof of one of the largest, most affluent record labels to date and partnered beside one of the most sought after producers, Alex Da Kid.
"Words can't describe how excited we are to be a part of the Interscope family and how grateful we are to our fans who have danced the nights away with us and have shouted out every lyric to every song over the years," said frontman Dan Reynolds.
The band is also looking forward to working with Alex in the studio on the band's first full-length album to be released in 2012. Reynolds continued, "Being able to work with Alex has really pushed all of us to think more outside of the box and really grow as artists and songwriters. It's incredible."
Alex has worked on some of today's biggest hit songs including, "Airplanes," a collaboration with B.o.B. and Paramore's Hayley Williams and Eminem and Rhianna's "Love The Way You Lie," among many others. Earlier this year, Alex took home a "Best Rap Album" Grammy for Eminem's 2010 release Recovery and the Alex Da Kid composed song "Rise Above 1" from the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark was performed by Bono, The Edge and Reeve Carney on the season finale of American Idol.

ABOUT IMAGINE DRAGONS
Imagine Dragons has received attention across the U.S. from industry professionals and fans alike, continuously growing their loyal fan base. Earlier this year, the band hit the West Coast on a highly successful tour with sold-out performances along the coast. This past spring, the band was invited to perform at Bergenfest in Norway, expanding their fan base outside of the U.S. In May the quintet released It's Time which featured eight new tracks including include “Leave Me,” “Amsterdam,” “Look How Far We’ve Come,” and the stirring, powerful “America.” In August, the group rocked L.A. during the Sunset Strip Music Festival. Following months of working with famed producer Alex Da Kid, Imagine Dragons signed with Interscope Records and KIDinaKORNER.
Mixing synth-laden rock with infectious dance grooves and restless energy, Imagine Dragons creates an eccentric, often anthemic sound. The quintet blends massive high-energy with a unique and diverse sound, evident in the band’s latest EP. Imagine Dragons has shared the stage with indie notables Temper Trap, Hot Chip, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Nico Vega and The Envy Corps, and have opened for mainstream acts such as Weezer, Blue October, and Interpol. The band consists of front man Dan Reynolds on vocals and keys, Wayne Sermon on guitar, Ben McKee on bass, Daniel Platzman on drums and Theresa Flaminio on keys. www.myspace.com/imaginedragons
